Jack Barnett

February 25, 1943 — October 19, 2016

Milton John "Jack" Barnett, 73 of Idaho Falls, Idaho lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday October 19, 2016 surrounded by his family.

He was born February 25, 1943 in Shelley, Idaho to Vance and Lila Barnett. He graduated from Shelley High School in 1961.

On November 8, 1963 Jack married his High School Sweetheart Judy Kay Ellsworth. To this union was born three children Jodee, Scott and Jenifer. They made their home in Idaho Falls for 54 years.

He worked at the INL as an Instrument Technician for 39 years.

Growing up in Taylor, Idaho he enjoyed working on the family farm and continued to throughout his life. Each year he tended to the beautiful family garden. He took much pride in his gorgeous yard, he was blessed with a gift for plants and flowers.

He loved the outdoors, whether it was taking a family drive to the mountains, spending time in Island Park, steel heading in Salmon, hunting with his dad and son or countless hours fishing the South Fork and Blackfoot River with family and many friends.

Jack was the kindest person anyone could have the pleasure of meeting. He was a friend to so many and loved giving a helping hand to anyone anyway he could. He always went above and beyond. He could fix and do anything a true "Jack" of all trades.

There are no words to describe this wonderful man we were so blessed to have in our lives. Our hearts ache with the loss of losing him so soon.

Jack is survived by his wife Judy, daughter Jodee (Todd) Haft of Tucson AZ, Scott (Justine) Barnett of Pocatello Id, Jenifer (Mike) Billings of Idaho Falls Id, 6 grandkids- Logan, Brock, Morgan, Alex, Jozie, Maci. Sister Bonnie Brown, Brother Braxton Barnett of Taylor Idaho and many nieces and nephews that loved them like a Grandpa.

At Jacks request there will be a private family graveside service.

The Family wishes to express their thanks to Abode Hospice for their loving care.
