Kyle McLain, 55, of Shelley, passed away January 15, 2010 at Idaho Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born January 13, 1955 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Earl G and OEnone Joyce Phillips McLain. He attended schools in Shelley and graduated from Shelley High School in 1973.
He married Reita Whitaker and had three sons. They were later divorced.
Kyle was a talented finish carpenter. He was a carpenter and foreman for many years. He loved construction and woodwork. He worked on several building projects around the Snake River Plains, including several banks, churches, hospitals, and schools. Many home owners, knowingly or not, owe the building of their house to him.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Kyle enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and everything to do with guns, reloading, target shooting, and cleaning.
He is survived by three sons, Cameron McLain of Shelley; Phillip Kyle McLain of Rock Springs, Wyoming; James Earl McLain of Shelley; two brothers, Von (Kathy) McLain of Phoenix, Arizona; and Brian (Kathryn) McLain of Rigby; brother in law, James Saffel and one granddaughter, Rocheal Latin Halley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Tana Saffel.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday January 20, 2010 at the Shelley Eighth Ward Chapel (184 North Park Ave.). The family will receive friends Wednesday 9:30 till 10:45 A.M. before the services at the church. Interment will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery under the directionof Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley.

I am so sorry to hear of Kyles passing; I guess we are all getting to be that age. I hope this note finds all those that have survived his passing in good health, both spiritually, physically and mentally. I know how hard it is to go through this. Kyle will be missed by all of us.
