Lynn V. Sorensen, 58, of Firth, passed away February 7, 2010 at his home.
Lynn was born on Friday the 13th of July 1951 in Shelley to Verdal Oscar and Edna Emma Lyon Sorensen. He grew up on the family farm in Firth, helping his father and Grandpa Sorensen. He attended school in Firth and graduated from Firth High School in 1969.
He attended Idaho State University before starting his career as a Truck Driver. He began driving truck at an early age with his Uncle Erland. His career continued at Nulph Brothers Trucking followed by Edwards Brothers for many years. In recent years he drove for Knight Refrigerated and was currently employed by Eagle Ridge Transportation.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Lynn enjoyed spending time with Claine and Cathy Haggard and all of his many friends. He enjoyed working in his shop and tinkering with anything mechanical. He was always there if anyone needed help.
He is survived by his brother, James O. Sorensen and sister, Georgia Sorensen both of Firth, and many cousins and friends that loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday February 13, 2010 at the Kimball Ward Chapel (744 North 600 East) with Bishop Boyd Peterson conducting. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 till 8:30 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Saturday morning 9:30 till 10:40 A.M. at the church. Interment will be in the Basalt Cemetery.
