Ada Pauline Swift

December 29, 1925 — December 26, 2009

Ada Pauline Swift, formerly Ada Pauline Croft of Shelley, Idaho, passed away at a local care center in Boise, Idaho, on December 26, 2009.    She was surrounded by her children and happy during her last days and passed after a sudden illness.

She was born in Ontario, Oregon, to Samuel and Rosalind Croft, December 29, 1925.  She married Johnny Paul Warren and had four children.  She later divorced and married Clyde Swift and had two children.

She was active at the Shelley Senior Center and in her LDS church ward in Shelley.  She enjoyed her wonderful friends and family in Shelley and the surrounding area.  She loved gardening, reading and working her puzzle books.

She retired from Sun Spiced, a subsidiary of Basic American Foods, in September 1989 and became a volunteer at the Shelley Senior Center where she was very well liked.  She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by three brothers, James Croft, Leroy Croft, Verlyn Croft and her six children, Danny Warren and Lonnie (Janet) Swift of Shelley; Karen (Bill) Carlson, Susie (Neil) Burtch, Christine (Troy) Hightower of Boise; and Shanna (Jerry) Roeder of Orofino.  She has eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren who were the light of her life.

She was preceded in death by her loving sister, Lula Lundquist and loving brothers, Marion Croft, Kenneth Croft, Lyle Croft and Lewis Croft.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday January 2, 2010 at the Shelley Fifth Ward Chapel (513 South Park Ave.). The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 till 8:30 P.M. and Saturday 9:30 till 10:40 A.M. before the services both at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley.

Interment will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
