Alan Peter Becker

Alan Peter Becker, 65, of Firth, Idaho passed away February 26, 2006 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from injuries received in an automobile accident.

He was born March 20, 1940 in San Jose, CA. Pete attended Almaden Valley Grade and Junior High School and graduated fro Santa Clara High School in Santa Clara, CA.

Pete’s military career consisted of a four year term in the Navy and retired from a twenty year career in the Army. He also retired from the United States Postal Service in Lewiston, Idaho.

Pete loved to garden, collect stamps, play the trombone, and was an avid Ham Radio Operator. He also was very involved in genealogy.

He is survived by his wife of forty three years, Joan Becker of Firth, step sons, David Olson of San Jose, CA, Ron Olson of Firth, and John Olson of Phoenix, AZ., a brother, William R. Becker of Sacramento, CA, sisters, Helen Jorgenson of Marysville, WA, Patricia Pfeiffer of Eagleville, CA, sisters-in-law, Liv Hansen-Harbick of Paso Robles, CA, Lorraine Reinmuth of Brookings, OR and brother in law, Michael Hansen of Morgan Hill, CA. He is also survived by three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Becker and brother Phillip Becker.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday March 2, 2006 at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery in Firth with military rites by the American Legion Stewart Hoover Post #23. Family and friends are invited to the Becker home after the burial for a celebration of Pete’s Life.
