Alma Wilburn Robinson

October 22, 1916 — June 8, 2008

Alma Wilburn Robinson, 91, of Twin Falls died June 8, 2008 at St Luke’s Magic Valley Hospital in Twin Falls.

He was born October 22, 1916 in Basalt, Idaho to Wilburn William and Lillie Rebecca Gregerson Robinson.  He was raised and attended school in Basalt where he helped his father on the farm.  

He married Agnes Egbert in 1940 in Conda, Idaho.  They had one son, Paul.  She died in July 1963.  On December 28, 1963 he married Maxine Mullen in Goshen, Idaho.  Maxine had a daughter, Sharlene, and later Alma and Maxine added another son, Alan to the family.  

During WWII he worked for Lockheed building airplanes in California.  He worked as a miner in Butte, Montana, at a Coal Mine in Conda, Idaho and at Monsanto Mine in Soda Springs, Idaho as a surveyor.  After he retired he worked with his son Alan, falling and hauling timber for fence posts and poles.  

Alma was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Alma & Maxine served in the South Dakota, Rapid City Mission for seven and a half months.  

He loved the mountains, cutting firewood, camping, and fishing.  

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Robinson of Twin Falls; two sons, Paul (Phyllis) Robinson of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Alan (Kimberly) Robinson of Twin Falls; one sister, Guila Olsen of Idaho Falls and eight grandchildren.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Sharlene, two sisters and one brother.  

Graveside Services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday June 11, 2008 at the Firth Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 till 12:45 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley.
