Annajill Hanny, 57, of Goshen passed away December 12, 2016 at her home.
Annajill Hanny was born July 20th, 1959 to parents Grant F. and E. Elaine Hanny (Larsen) of Shelley. Her childhood was spent in the Goshen area where she graduated from Firth High School. Annajill loved learning and education, Medical education was her absolute passion in life. She received an associate degree from Ricks College, an undergraduate biology degree from Utah State University, and a Masters Licensed Social Worker Degree from the University of Utah.
Annajill worked in the greater Salt Lake City area in Epilepsy and Neurodevelopment, behavioral health, as a clinical researcher, and directed several drug study programs. She was also employed as a crisis line clinician serving global crisis line calls including suicide, those considering homicide or other injury to another person; threatened work place violence; domestic violence/child abuse. Her natural compassionate spirit coupled with her vast education blessed many lives in crisis situations.
Music was always a big part of her life. In her early years she composed music, studied and played the piano and organ. She grew up in a musical family and loved the classics.
Annajill’s personal interests included all aspects of music especially Mannheim Steam Roller Christmas Concerts, Utah Jazz Basketball, University of Utah Ute Football Nation, and endless medical education and research.
Annajill is survived by her mother E. Elaine Hanny Larsen of Idaho Falls, sisters; Joyce Mullen (Carlan) of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Margaret Fielding (Delynn) Castle Dale, Utah, brothers; Frank Hanny Alliance, Nebraska, and Merrill Hanny (Bethea) Shelley, Idaho, and loving nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her father Grant Hanny, her namesake niece Andrea Jill Mullen, and close personal friend and business associate Dr. Marcia J. Litzinger.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 17th at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley, Idaho at 11:00 am. The family will meet with friends prior to the service from 9:30 am to 10:45 am. Interment will be at the Taylor Cemetery.
