Annice Marjorie Criddle

A. Marjorie F. Criddle, 86, of Basalt, Idaho, passed away peacefully at her son’s home in Shelley, Idaho, on Oct. 16, 2010, with family members by her side.

She was born June 10, 1924, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Loomis Lynn Frandsen and Lillian Stutznegger Frandsen. She grew up in the Kimball/Firth, Idaho area.

On November 30, 1942, she married Alvin H. Criddle in Malad, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti, Utah, LDS Temple. In 1949, they moved from Utah and returned to Basalt to raise their family. She worked for Idaho Supreme for several years.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various positions.

She enjoyed crocheting, playing the organ, painting, and horseback riding. Margie loved her grandchildren and could make any newborn baby smile. She taught her family to do things right the first time.

Survivors include sons, A. DeLon Criddle of Basalt, Idaho; Craig G. (Brenda) Criddle of Draper, Utah; Randy C. (Sonja) Criddle of Shelley, Idaho; and Lane F. (Terri) Criddle of Rigby, Idaho; 3 sisters, 4 brothers, 13 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers, and two granddaughters, Rebecca and Jessica Criddle.

Funeral services will be at 12 p.m., Thursday, October 21, at the Firth Stake Center, 133 South Main in Basalt with Bishop Clair L. Christensen officiating. The family will visit with friends and loved ones from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 20 at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 W. Oak in Shelley and from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the Basalt Cemetery.
