Barbara Holland Dredge

February 19, 1930 — November 30, 2007

Barbara Holland Dredge, 77, of Shelley, passed away Friday, November 30, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.  

She was born February 19, 1930, in Shelley, Idaho to Joseph Bertie and Nellie Mae Shaw Holland. She graduated from Shelley High School and lived in Shelley most of her life.   On May 12, 1948, she married Doyle V. Dredge in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all she came to know in many parts of the world. She served as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in many capacities including working in Primary, Relief Society, Young Women, and Sunday School. She and her husband officiated in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple for 20 years. They served two LDS missions to New Zealand and Australia.  

Survivors include her husband, Doyle Dredge, and children Eileen (Patrick) Casey, Salt Lake City, Utah, Holland (Gale) Dredge, Douglas (Ginny) Dredge, both of Shelley, Shirley (Ellwood) Arnell, of Dover, Delaware, and Debbie (Bryan) Borsella of Shelley, sister Karma Messick of Shelley, 24 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, one sister, one son, one granddaughter, and one great-grandson.  

Funeral services will be at 11:00am Tuesday, December 4th, at the Shelley South Stake Center, (675 South Milton) in Shelley. The family will visit with friends from 7:00pm – 8:30pm Monday at Nalder Funeral Home (110 W. Oak) in Shelley and from 9:30am – 10:40 am Tuesday at the Stake Center. The interment will be at Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
