Betty Jo Cederberg

March 13, 1930 — August 22, 2010

Betty Jo Cederberg, 80, passed away Sunday August 22, 2010 at her home in Firth, Idaho after a courageous battle with cancer.

Betty was born March 13, 1930 in Delta, Utah to Lloyd and Blonda Wixom Knight.  In 1941 the family moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho where she graduated from Idaho Falls High School and Ex-Cel-Cis Beauty School.

She married Glenn Cederberg in Rupert, Idaho on January 1, 1954.  They moved to Firth and have lived on the Cederberg family farm their entire marriage.

Betty was a person with many interests, talents, and vocations. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Order of Eastern Star, and the Firth Riverview Grange. She has been a restaurant owner, beautician, bank teller, secretary and realtor. She enjoyed reading, playing the piano, playing challenging games, especially Scrabble, and visiting with friends and family.

Betty is survived by her husband, Glenn of Firth; children Steve (Sheryl) Cederberg of Shelley; Sheryl (Wesley) High, David (Julie) Cederberg and Janet Cederberg of Firth; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and sister Karen Bonzon of Basalt.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Carlos and Lloyd Knight.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday August 26 at the Bethel Lutheran Church (413 North Main Street) in Firth with Pastor John Stevens, officiating. Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday August 25 at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Thursday morning one hour prior to services at the church.

Interment will be at the Riverview Cemetery in Firth.

The family would like to thank the caring staff of Blackfoot Home Health & Hospice for the kind and caring way they attended to our mother.
