Bonnie Jean Nulph

February 25, 1931 — March 8, 2013

Bonnie Jean DeLaMare Nulph, 82, of Shelley passed away on March 8, 2013 at her home.  She was under hospice care.

Bonnie was born February 25, 1931 in Pocatello, Idaho to Wilford and Mae Reed DeLaMare.  She had a wonderful life growing up in Pocatello with many good friends.  She graduated from Pocatello High School.

Bonnie is the ninth of ten children, having two brothers and seven sisters, two of whom are still living, Verleen Barker of Centerville, Utah and Helen Strah of Malad, Idaho.

In 1951 she met Forrest Hyrum Nulph on a blind date.  They were married on June 10, 1952 in the Idaho Falls Temple.

Bonnie said her greatest accomplishment is her family.  She loved to help others and was very service oriented.    Making tied quilts was a joy for her and she made one for all of her grandchildren and then some. Another of her talents was painting flowers and nature scenes.

Bonnie was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many various callings including the Relief Society, MIA, Primary and being a den mother in Cub Scouts.  She was a visiting teacher for 57 years.  She was very devoted and faithful in all she did.  Bonnie and Forrest served two LDS missions, one to Harrisburg, PA and the other one to the Idaho Falls Temple Visitors Center.  After their first mission they bought a home in St. George where they lived during the winter months.

Some of her favorite activities were vacations to the family cabin, shopping trips to Salt Lake City, flower and vegetable gardening, family picnics, making fudge and chocolate cake.

She is survived by her loving husband, Forrest Nulph of Shelley; children, Claudia (Nolan) Clayson of Firth; Shirley (Byard) Cox of Iona; Max (Sandra) Nulph of Firth; Todd (Janet) Nulph of Shelley; Peggy (Bruce) Cook of Shelley; Lynn Nulph of Iona; 23 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Alan Wilford Nulph.

A special thanks to One Source Hospice and especially to Meradith Miskin and Tallie Schmitt for their compassion and kindness to our mother.
