Bonnie June Duffin

September 8, 1944 — March 16, 2013

Bonnie June Harker Duffin, age 68, beloved wife, mother, sister, cousin, and friend passed away on March 16, 2013, in Quartzsite, Arizona of respiratory failure. She will be remembered for her gentle nature and her Christ-like service to family and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She and her husband loved serving their family and enjoyed much of their retirement years serving five missions: Las Vegas, Nevada proselyting mission, Salt Lake Family History service mission; Cove Fort visitor's center; Tuba City, Arizona family history center; and, most recently, the Nauvoo visitor's center.

Bonnie was born September 8, 1944 in Shelley, Idaho to William Meeks and June Smith Harker. She was very musical and could sing before she could talk. Her early years were spent working on the family farm and being a wonderful big sister to Evelyn Frederick, Faun Tucker, Darlene Despain, and Bill, Lynn, (deceased) and Marvin Harker. She was a gifted pianist. She loved learning. She met the love of her life, Daryl Duffin while attending Brigham Young University where she graduated in Business Education. They were married May 31, 1969, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple and raised five wonderful children: Lora Roth, Emily Barlow, Jill Tippetts, Tim Duffin and Matthew Duffin.

Fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren brought added joy to her life. Not being strong in health, Bonnie focused her efforts on her family and service to others. Her righteous example will be a precious heritage for all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lynn.
