Bruce Lynn Frandsen

June 25, 1950 — January 14, 2011

Bruce Lynn Frandsen, 60, of Firth passed away January 14, 2011 at Bingham Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 25, 1950 in Shelley, Idaho to good earthly parents, Karl Lynn and Iris Maude Dye Frandsen.  He graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1969.  Bruce served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from 1970-1972 in the New England Mission under the direction of Presidents Paul H. Dunn and John L. Clark.

He married Dorothy May Merrill on June 15, 1973 and later they were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on June 15, 1974.  They had three children, Christopher Lynn, Matthew Bruce, and Nicole Elizabeth.

Bruce worked as a heavy equipment operator, ironworker, and over the road semi truck driver.  His first love was driving truck.  He worked for Bath Ironworks of Maine, R.C. Moore Trucking of Maine, and Killpack Trucking of Idaho Falls.

Bruce held many leadership positions and held the office of High Priest in his church.

Bruce is survived by his children, Christopher Frandsen, Matthew Frandsen, Nicole Frandsen, his father, Karl Frandsen, siblings, Yvonne Barton, Ken (June) Frandsen, Marie (Bill) Radtke, Marlene (Tim) Shurtz, Karlene (Bret) Hokanson, and John (Jan) Frandsen, his grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday January 21, 2011 at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley.  The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 and Friday morning for one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Firth cemetery.
