Clydene Collet

Laura Clydene Eaton Collet, 82, our loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on April 28, 2018.

She was born June 11, 1935 to Clyde and Irene Eaton. She was the fourth of seven daughters. She attended elementary school through eighth grade in Basalt and graduated from Firth High School. She married her high school sweetheart, John, on May 23, 1953. They were later sealed in the Los Angeles LDS temple on September 14, 1968. They had four children, David, Doug, Don and Denise.

Clydene loved her family and found great joy in being with and serving them. She loved her home and spending time working in her yard and garden. Many friends and family were recipients of her delicious raspberry jam. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many different positions in Primary, Young Women, Relief Society and Sunday School.

Clydene was a kind and loving person and a friend to all she met. She will be greatly missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son David, her in-laws, two sisters and three brothers-in law.

She is survived by her husband, John, sons Doug (Kathy), and Don, daughter Denise (Chris), 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Kimball Ward Chapel (744 N 600 E) Firth. The family will meet with friends Thursday evening from 6:00 till 7:30 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) Shelley and Friday from 9:30 A.M. till 10:40 A.M. at the church. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
