Danny Cleverley

May 9, 1945 — May 1, 2009

Danny Cleverley, 63, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 1, 2009 at Portneuf Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Danny died of complications of pneumonia resulting from his courageous battle with cancer.

He was born May 9, 1945 to Raymond and Laura Cleverley. He lived in Idaho Falls and Shelley, where he worked (or played as some might say) for 44 years at Basic American Foods. Danny’s degree from B.S.U. enabled him to be the most loved employee and friend to countless co-workers. Danny was also very proud to be a Vietnam Veteran, where he worked as a Tunnel Rat.

Danny enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to camp, fish, and ride four-wheelers with his wife and best friend, Dawn Cleverley.

Danny will always be remembered by his loving and unconditional giving to all those around him. By either taking care of the lawns and sidewalks of his neighbors or just the effort made to give hello’s to all those whom he came in contact with, Danny was always in the act of service to others. The family and friends of Danny’s find comfort in knowing that heaven is just a little more joyful now that Danny has arrived.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn of Idaho Falls; mother, Laura Cleverley of Shelley; children, Michael of Idaho Falls; Jeana of Post Falls; Curtis of Clatskanie, Oregon; Becky (Troy) Leatham and Brian Webb of Idaho Falls; grandchildren, Jake & Erika Wohlschlegel, Ashley & Cheyana Leatham, Colton Webb all of Idaho Falls; two brothers, Jay (Patty) Cleverley of Idaho Falls; and Dennis Cleverley of Rockdale, Texas.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday May 5, 2009 at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 till 8:30 P.M. and Tuesday 11:00 till 12:45 before the services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery with military rites by David B. Bleak Post 93.
