Delma Hansen Mickelsen

Delma Hansen Mickelsen, 90, of Goshen passed away October 21, 2016 at the home of her daughter, Annette Dial under the care of Encompass Hospice.

She was born February 5, 1926 in Goshen, Idaho to Willis and Mary Staples Hansen. Delma was the third child of five. She had four brothers, LaVerl, Myron, Wilma and Darlo Hansen. Delma grew up in Goshen and attended Goshen and Firth schools.

She married Eugene Bragg in April 1942. They later divorced. They had six children, Sharon (Theone) Wilde of Goshen, Sheldon (Deceased), Sharlene (Wynn) John of Kimball, Annette (David) Dial of Goshen, Rhonda (Brent) Steffler of Goshen, and Shane (Karen) Bragg of Goshen.

Delma worked for the R.T. French Company and Pillsbury in Shelley. She retired after 32 years as a Lead Lady.

She liked to crochet, work in her garden, and take long drives in the country. She loved being with her children and grandchildren. She loved the family campouts.

Delma married Ned Mickelsen June 9, 1969. With this marriage she added two step children, Mike Mickelsen of Blackfoot and Linda (Ben) Gonzales of Irvine, CA.

She is survived by her husband, Ned Mickelsen, four daughters, one son, one step son, one step daughter, 20 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren, and one brother, Darlo Hansen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one grandson, one great great grandson, and one great great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the Goshen Ward Chapel (792 N 1090 E). The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 till 7:30 p.m. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Wednesday morning from 10:00 till 10:40 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Goshen Cemetery.
