Gary L. Jones

Gary Loyd Jones, 72, of Shelley, passed away October 8, 2010 at his home.

He was born November 8, 1937 in Idaho Falls to Loyd Porter Jones and Blanche Harris Jones Dick.  He attended schools in Idaho Falls.

On February 20, 1959 he married Margaret “Peggy” Louise Steele in Idaho Falls.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Gary enjoyed fishing, boating, snow machines, and going for rides.

He is survived by his wife Margaret “Peggy” Jones of Shelley; children, De Karla (Gary R.) Persing of Portland, Oregon; Marlin L. (Lisa) Jones of Rigby; Lance R. Jones of Tremonton, Utah; Angie K. (Kirk D.) Andrus of Idaho Falls; and Dennis Jones of Idaho Falls; siblings, Blaine (Elaine) Jones of Pocatello; Colleen (Tito) Martinez of Apple Valley, California; and Dennis (Marsha) Dick of  Alaska; 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday October 12, 2010 at the Shelley South Stake Center.  The family will receive friends Monday October 11

from 7:00 till 8:30 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Tuesday morning 9:30 till 10:40 at the church. Burial will be in the Cedron Cemetery.
