Ida Lucille Lott

Ida Wilson Lott, 91, of Firth passed away May 23, 2016 at her home.



Ida was born April 5, 1925 in Lewisville, Idaho, the first of five children born to Elsie Lucille Barney and J Bruce Wilson.



Ida was a graduate of Rigby High School.  During the Depression she worked for the county commissioner and at the Nickel Drive-in where she meant Leland Deck Lott and later married him while he was home on leave from the Marine Corps on March 2, 1945. They moved to El Centro, California where they met lots of new friends and had a great time until Dick had to fly off to the South Pacific. She returned home till the end of the war when she and Dick moved to a farm near Idaho Falls. They worked hard raising crops, pigs, chickens and milking the cows. Ida raise a beautiful garden every year until just recently, giving away much of her produce.



They later moved to the Firth area. Dick worked in the construction business, Ida took care of the home front while he was away.



Ida was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. She served in many organizations: relief society, primary, young women presidencies.



Ida and Dick were members of the Farm Bureau, and the Grange when they were younger. Later on they were on the board of the Bingham County Historical Society, Shelley Senior Citizens, and the Easy Breathers Society. Ida was a 4H leader for many years. She taught cooking, canning, sewing, freezing and junior leadership among lots of others.



Ida was an avid reader, beautiful seamstress, loved crocheting and donated many afgans to the veteran’s hospital. She was a great cook famous for her homemade rolls and raspberry salad.



Ida loved the yard and her flowers, she received many blue ribbons for her flowers at the state fair.  Ida and Dick collected antiques all their lives and enjoyed showing them to local groups.



They have one daughter, Valerie (George) Mundt, four grandsons, Jason (Amanda) of Reno, Nevada, Joel (Melanie) of Post Falls, Idaho, David (Krystal) of Firth, Idaho, Andrew (Hailey) of Reno, Nevada.  She has 16 great grandchildren.



Ida was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Dick Lott her parents, a sister, Yuvon Aiken, a sister, Alice Horn, and a brother, Howard Wilson.



Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Kimball Ward Chapel (744 N 600 E) in Firth.  The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10:00 till 10:45 a.m. at the church.  Burial will be 2:00 p.m. in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home.
