James O. Sorensen

June 25, 1955 — March 19, 2014

James O. Sorensen, 58, of Firth was reunited with his parents on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at his home from natural causes.

Jimmy was born on June 25, 1955 in Shelley, Idaho to Verdal O. and Edna Emma Lyon Sorensen.

He was born with a rare syndrome called Rubinstein-Taybi.

Children with this syndrome usually pass away from a heart defect around the age of 20.

Jimmy loved to ride on the four wheeler thinking he was driving, but his sister would be sitting on the front rack steering.

He was very smart.

He could not talk but made up his own sign language.

He loved to go out where Thane and Connie Christensen were harvesting potatoes and watch the tractors, combines, and all the big trucks.

He is survived by his sister, Georgia Sorensen and many cousins who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lynn.

Special thanks to our cousins.

Thank you to Robert and Kimberly for the care they gave him while Georgia was at work.

Thank you Care One Services in Blackfoot.
