Jennifer Leigh Thompson

July 14, 1975 — August 4, 2015

Jennifer Leigh Thompson peacefully left this earth on August 4, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was currently at Life Care Center with loving family members by her side.

Jennifer was born July 14, 1975.  She was the second daughter of Bobbie Glen Thompson and Joyce Lynn Rowberry Thompson.  She was greeted by her sister Suzan LeeAnn and eight years later they were joined by brother, Bryan Glen.

She attended school in Shelley and graduated in 1994. When she was in High School she enjoyed the band program where she was able to go to Washington D.C. to perform and tour.  She always wanted to go back when the cherry blossoms were blooming.

Jennifer was a member of T.O.P.S. Club. She started going with her mom many years ago and continued until she was unable to attend any more. She received numerous awards over the years. The most recent was “The Most Inspirational Member”.  She made many lifelong friends.

Jennifer worked for McDonalds, Sonic, and was working at Jack in the Box when she became ill.  She enjoyed working with the public and the making friends along the way.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  She enjoyed Visiting Teaching and going to church.  The Temple held a very special place in her heart.  She was well loved in her ward and she loved them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobbie and Joyce, and by her grandparents on both sides.

She is survived by her sister Suzan also from Shelley and brother Bryan (Bridgette) Thompson, and their children, Madysen, Kylee, Lybbie, Cynthia, and Bryndilynn from Blackfoot. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 8, 2015 at the Shelley 10

Ward Chapel (1555 North 700 East). The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 till 7:30 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Saturday morning from 9:30 till 10:40 A.M. at the Church. Burial will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
