Johnny Edward Mohler

December 2, 1936 — August 15, 2014

Johnny Edward Mohler was born December 2, 1936 in Bristow, Oklahoma and returned to God’s loving arms August 15, 2014.

Johnny was the oldest of nine children brought into this world by John Osborne Mohler and Willie Mae Head Mohler in Bristow, Oklahoma.

In 1957 he married Brenda Ann Carter of Bass Lake, CA and had three wonderful children.

Johnny moved to Idaho Falls in 1988 where he worked as a butcher at Golden Valley Packers, and later as a clerk in the local Gas and Grub where he made many friends.

Johnny made an impact on everyone he met and was known as “The Pringles Man” because of his handle bar mustache.

He was a man that was larger than life and loved to make you laugh.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, collecting old coins, gardening, classic cars, collecting pens and spinning tall tales.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings and left behind his children and their spouses, John William (Laurie) Mohler of Salinas, CA, Rod Edward (Shawn) Mohler of Shelley, and Jeanne Anne (Matt) Landon of Idaho Falls, along with six grandchildren: Shannon, Austin (Tasha), Wade, Matthew, Kaitlyn, and Ashlyn.

Graveside services will be held in his honor at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home in Shelley. Interment will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
