Judy Kay Lucero

Judy Kay Lucero, 65, of Shelley passed away November 22, 2006 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.       

      She was born August 7, 1941 at Del Norte, Colorado to Forest A. and Ivah M. Lowery Bishop.    

         She was raised in Del Norte where she worked in the potato fields and on the farm with her dad taking care of the livestock.  She married Manuel J. Lucero on October 11, 1983 in Del Norte, CO.  She moved to Monte Vista, CO and worked in a potato warehouse.  Her and her husband moved to Basalt and then to Shelley where she worked in a potato warehouse until she retired.         

    She is survived by her husband, Manuel Lucero of Shelley, four daughters; Kathy Archuleta of Colorado Springs, CO, Kay Donofrio of Maryland, Darlene Lucero of Pueblo, CO, and Nancy Trujillo of Monte Vista, CO, three sons; Fabian Lucero of Del Norte, CO, Dennis Lucero of Durango, CO, and Sammy Martinez of Boise, 25 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons;  Junior and Anthony Lucero.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday November 25th at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley. The family will receive friends Friday from 3:00 till 5:00 P.M. and Saturday morning one hour prior to services.
