Judy Mae Gallup, 73, of Idaho Falls and former Shelley resident passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Parkwood Meadows in Idaho Falls.

Judy was born on May 26, 1943 in Shelley, Idaho to Harold James and Anna Pauline Miles. She was the oldest child with a little brother Leon. Judy attended school s in Shelley, and working at various places.

On March 9, 1963 she married Glendon Gallup in Elko Nevada. They were blessed with two children Angie (Angelia) in 1964 and Glendon Dee Lane in 1966. They spent the first seven years of their marriage in Idaho Falls before moving to Shelley. Where she remained until two years ago, then she moved into Parkwood Meadows in Idaho Falls.

Judy worked off and on though out her life at the various Spud Warehouses in Shelley. When she wasn’t working she spent her time gardening, reading, doing crafts and crocheting. She crocheted an afghan for each of her family members. But what she loved most of all was spending time in the mountains camping and fishing with her family and friends.

In the last few years the highlight for her was when she could spend time with her children and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed the great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Judy is survived by her children Angie (Chris) Meine of Shelley, Idaho and Glendon Dee Lane Gallup of Denver, Colorado. Her grandchildren Jada Meine of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Kattie (Joe) Arave of Blackfoot, Idaho, Jordan Meine of Boise, Idaho and Carly (Dakota) Colson of Shelley, Idaho . Six great grandchildren Quinn, Rowen, Davin, Brextyn, Danika, and Axel.

She is preceded in death by her husband Glendon Gallup, parents Harold and Pauline Miles. Brother Leon Miles.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday November 10, 2016 at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 till 7:30 P.M. and Thursday morning 9:30 till 10:45 A.M. both at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.

As a family we would like to thank those in the health care profession that took the time to care for and showed love and kindness to our mother.
