Katherine Reid Spraker passed away on August 3, 2021 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was born October 19, 1937, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Eldro Just and Geraldine Larsen Reid.

Katherine and her twin sister, Caroline, grew up in Presto, Idaho until she was six years old when the family moved to Lavaside, Idaho. She enjoyed riding horses, swimming, and developed a great love for animals. She graduated from Firth High School. She then graduated from the Idaho Falls LDS School of Nursing and worked for a short time after.

She met Leonard Spraker and after a short courtship they were engaged. They were married on April 11, 1958 at Katherine’s parents home. They started to raise their family in Arco, Idaho. They lived for a short time in a trailer house but most of their time was spent on a farm they were trying to buy. Their five children were born while living in Arco.

In 1968 they moved to Wapello and raised their family. She spent the rest of her life there. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. She made the most beautiful clothing for her daughters and granddaughters. She also gardened and grew gorgeous flowers that she used to make stunning arrangements. She loved cats and watching the birds.

She is survived by her children: Steven, Julie (Nolin) Crook, Lisa, Linda (Mike) Park, and Philip (Andrea). She has eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, her twin sister, and an infant brother, Eldro Jay.
