Max Leroy Sievers

July 1, 1930 — March 17, 2010

Max LeRoy Sievers, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 17, 2010 at Good Samaritan Center in Idaho Falls.

Max was born July 1, 1931 in Ucon, Idaho to Carl and Lillie Sievers.

Max married Mary Ann Johnson February 26, 1953. They were blessed with three children. Nick (Holly) Sievers, Leslee Ann (Jerry Carpenter) Sievers, Randy (Angela) Sievers all of Idaho Falls. They have 5 Grandchildren Dr. Justin (Melissa) Johnson, Jennifer (Brandon) Finch, Heidi (Darren) Wray, Carl (Kelby) Sievers, Crystal (Randy) Westergard, Sean (Lacy)  Lanier and 14 Great Grandchildren.

As a young man he proudly served in the US Army. One of his assignments placed him in post-war Germany. Later in his life he and Ann were able to return to Germany for a visit

Max spent most of his adult life serving the public as an employee, manager and owner of one Phillips 66 Station or another. This profession took him from Vic’s on North Yellowstone Hwy to Lindsay 66 to a thriving family dealership at Arco 66 then back to Broadway 66 in Idaho Falls. As a result of this career, he knew everyone he met on the street.

Max loved to watch his son playing softball at Tautphaus Park and traveling to baseball tournaments, Bar-be-cues, play horseshoes, fish, hunt, camp and spend time around the fire with friends and family. His home and trailer were always open to all.

Max was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Bonnie Monson and Donna Whittle.

He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and numerous friends he made throughout the years.

Graveside Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday March 20

at Fielding Memorial Park with military rites by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
