Neal J. Hicks

Neal J Hicks returned to his Heavenly home after an extended illness on March 19, 2015 in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Neal was born July 12, 1961 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Marvin Cleve and Krystal Kirkham Hicks.

He was the third child in the family. When he was eight years old the family moved to Shelley, Idaho. He loved animals, working on farms and fishing. He was involved in FFA. He graduated from Shelley High School in 1983.

He was a talented welder and a truck driver. At the time of his death, Neal was working for Hess Boys Water and Oil Field Services in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

He married Terri Patchett, they later divorced. They made their home in Pocatello, Idaho with her two children, Brittnee and Christopher, whom Neal loved as his own.

He is survived by his parents Marvin and Krystal Hicks of Shelley. His sister Barbara (Terrell) Hoskins of Shelley, brothers, John (Kim) Hicks of New Castle, Colorado, Ed (Yvonne) Hicks of Pocatello, and Richard (Alicia) Hicks of Shelley. His step children, Brittnee Downs Smith of Fallon, Nevada and Christopher Downs of Pocatello, Idaho.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery with Bishop Terrell Hoskins conducting.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home.
