Norma Miles

December 16, 1925 — September 19, 2016

Norma Condor Miles, 90, lifetime Goshen resident, died at home on Monday, September 19, 2016 following a short illness.

Norma was the youngest child of George Edward and Jennie Higgins Conder.

She was born December 16, 1925 in Elsinore, Utah.

They left Utah after the death of her father when she was only five years old.

She received her education in the Firth School District and an Associate Degree at Idaho State University in Food Services.

She was School Lunch Supervisor in the Firth School District for over 35 years.

Norma married Angus Edward Miles on January 24, 1942 in Basalt, Idaho.

They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple.

They are the proud parents of Ronald (Eudora), Marvin (Michelle), Beverly (Kendall) Matheson, Wesley (JoAnn), and Jenada (Regan) Longhurst.

She was an active member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints and served in many organizations, including Relief Society, Primary, Young Womens, and Scouting.

She made many friends when she and her husband taught water aerobics during their winters in Arizona and also at the Blackfoot Pool.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Angus, one son, Ronald, brothers, George, Ornal, Foy and Everet Dee and sisters, Bertha, Erma, and Thelma.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Goshen Ward Chapel (792 N 1090 E).

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 till 7:30 p.m. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Friday morning from 10:00 till 10:40 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
