Preston Scott Dixson

May 6, 1975 — May 15, 2014

Our one in a million guy, Preston Scott Dixson, known by many as “Pete” and “Muscles”, 39, of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed away on May 15, 2014 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle to many.

Preston was born May 6, 1975 in Burley Idaho to Kathy Ann Devers and Dean Abram Dixson. He and his family moved to Norfolk, NE shortly after his birth where they lived until 1983. They then moved to Burley, Idaho. He attended schools in Norfolk and Burley before moving to Idaho Falls where he finished his education.

On November 9, 1995 he married Lavina Maxine Miller in Burley, Idaho. They moved to Las Vegas where he worked as a security guard with his brother, Justin, and at the New York, New York Casino running the roller coaster, which he thoroughly enjoyed. After several years in Las Vegas they returned to Idaho Falls to be closer to family. He worked at several different places before finding the job he loved going to as a cook at 5 and Diner, later Dixie’s Diner. During this time his marriage to Lavina came to an end, though they still remained friends.

Later, he met and fell in love with Hayley Allen and her two children, whom he considered his family.

He loved playing with them and just enjoying their time together.

His loves in life were making people laugh, being a human punching bag to his nieces and nephews, and showing off his muscles.

He enjoyed motorcycles, martial arts, body building, and a healthy lifestyle. He spent many hours reading and researching anything and everything he found an interest in. Preston was very curious about history

and how to stay healthy. He showed just how much his heart was on his sleeve in his drawings and his beautiful poems and his smile was overwhelmingly infectious to anyone who met him. He was a strong protector while being the gentle giant we all love. When he put his mind to something, he could accomplish anything.

Preston is survived by his fiancé, the love he gave his life for, Hayley Allen, Idaho falls, and her two children, Daniel, 9, and Patience,2; mother Kathy Devers, father Dean Dixson, both of Burley; brothers Justin (Jodi) Dixson, Terry(Kendra) Dixson, Art Jimenez, all of Idaho Falls, Daren (Jenni) Dixson of Burley; sister Kristyn (Preston) Hansen of Burley; grandmother Donna Fairchild of Burley; grandfather Ronald Dixson of Holbrook, AZ; many aunts, uncles, cousins and  nieces and nephews that he adored who will miss their Uncle Petie dearly.  He was preceded in death by grandfathers Russ Devers and Ray Fairchild; grandmother Nina Dixson; sister Donna Daisy Meza.

We will miss you dearly; until we can hold you again.  John 5:28, 29.
