Robert (Bob) Berton Gallup, 67 of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away December 27, 2006, of natural causes at The LDS Hospital in Salt Lake, Utah.
Bob was born the eldest of three children on August 26, 1939 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Bert and Dorothy McInelly Gallup. He was raised and attended school in Shelley, Idaho.
In September 1958, Bob married D'Lone Petersen and from this union was born Robert Todd, Rick D, and Steven Trent. They later divorced. Bob then married Nanette Miller and to this union was born Bradley J.. They later divorced. Bob then met Karen Hunziker, his best friend, confidante, and companion.
Bob worked as a salesman in Blackfoot, Idaho until 1968 when he moved with his family to Nampa and worked as the refrigeration supervisor at Carnation. While married to Nanette he moved to Hermiston, Oregon to work as maintenance supervisor for Simplot's. He left Simplot's for his "dream job" with Oregon Fish and Game. He worked there until his retirement.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time with his sons and grandchildren golfing, fishing, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, and hunting. He was deeply loved and will always be missed by his family and friends.
Bob is survived by Karen Hunziker, Pocatello; his children Robert Todd (Christy), Nampa; Rick D (Lesa), Nampa; Steven Trent (Cindy), Caldwell; Bradley J (Rebecca), Nampa; his sister Loretta (Boyd) Howell, Basalt; 31 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Bert and Dorothy Gallup, Grandparents and his baby sister Vickey Rae.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday January 2, 2007, at the Nalder Funeral Home (110 W. Oak) Shelley, Idaho The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Salvation Army, in Bob's name.
