Steven Edward Yount

Steven Edward Yount, 52, passed away December 11, 2010.

He was born October 15, 1958 in Lenoir, North Carolina to the late Stuart Yount and Peggy and John Frost.

At the age of 12 he moved with his family to Pocatello, Idaho. He graduated from Highland High School in 1976. He furthered his education at Idaho State University.

He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served a full time mission in the Bristol, England area.

He married Kathy Whitaker on May 20, 1983 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They have four wonderful children.

He worked at Bechtel as a Waste Management Specialist.

In his spare time he

was a member of the Kelly Canyon Ski Patrol for 12 years and for the past 5 years he was the candidate trainer.

He enjoyed skiing, basketball, golfing, and riding motor cycles. He also enjoyed supporting his children in all their extra-curricular activities.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy, and children, Joshua (Crystal), Alyssa, Tia, and Ian; parents, Peggy and John Frost and sister, Lisa Grimm.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandmothers, and grandfathers.

Special thanks to EIRMC emergency personnel and the Kelly Canyon Ski Patrol. We will always hold a special place in our heart for the Kelly Canyon Ski Patrol and all they did to help him.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Goshen Ward Chapel (792 North 1090 East). The family will receive friends Wednesday evening 7:00 till 8:30 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Thursday morning 9:30 till 10:40 at the church.  Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
