Tanner Wayne Swensen

September 29, 1993 — June 20, 2008

Tanner Wayne Swensen, 14, of Shelley, passed away June 20, 2008 at his home.

He was born September 29, 1993 in Pocatello, Idaho to Ty Wayne and Telisa Reann Pulley Swensen.

Tanner lived in Pocatello until 1996, when he moved with his family to Idaho Falls.  He quickly made many friends.  He attended Fox Hollow Elementary School through fourth grade, and then moved to Shelley with his family.  Once again his infectious personality enabled him to make many friends.  He loved to hang out with his friends and was always scheming a way for them to all get together.

Tanner was athletic and participated in Grid Kid Football, wrestled, played basketball, and ran track for Hobb’s Middle School.  He was a great student, who loved to torment his teachers with pranks and jokes.  He loved his brothers and sister and enjoyed teasing them as well.  Tanner always brought a smile to the face of all those around him.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he was in the Teacher’s Quorum of the Shelley Third Ward.

He is survived by his parents, Ty & Telisa Swensen, siblings, Trevin Swensen, Tierra Swensen, and Trey Swensen all of Shelley; Grandparents, Wayne & Catherine Swensen of Egin; Beverly Quinn and Calvin Pulley both of Upland, California.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday June 24, 2008 at the Shelley South Stake Center (675 South Milton). The family will receive friends Monday evening 6:30 till 8:00 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Tuesday morning 9:30 till 10:40 at the church.  Burial will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
