Todd G. Olsen

Todd G. Olsen, 54, of Shelley passed away November 16, 2015 at The Gables after a valiant battle with Huntington’s Disease.

Todd was born September 21, 1961 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Preston H. and Cheri Mae Goudy Olsen.

He graduated from Shelley High School and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Tempe, Arizona mission.

Upon his return he attended Ricks College where he met and married Tami Scott.

They had five beautiful children.

They later divorced.

Todd loved to farm and was able to work many years farming for Jim McCullough and Larsen Farms.

He loved to play sports with basketball and softball being his favorites.

He was a loyal Green Bay Packers fan his entire life.

Todd is survived by his five children, Christopher Todd (Jordan) Olsen of Rexburg, Nicholas Olsen of Casper, WY, Shelby Olsen of Idaho Falls, Chelsea Olsen and Micah Olsen both of Casper, WY, six grandchildren, siblings, Cathy (Cecil) Shuman of Alaska, Lisa Salgado of Las Vegas, Phil (Gigi) Olsen of Las Vegas, NV, and Noel (Tahra) Olsen of Idaho Falls,

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Brent and Brian.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Woodville Second Ward Chapel, 1555 N 700 E, Shelley.  The family will receive friends Thursday morning for one hour prior to the services at the church.  Burial will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home in Shelley.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to the Huntington's Disease Society of America at hdsa.org.
