Verlene Wilson

Verlene Wilson, 67, of Shelley, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

She was born on October 13, 1944 to Bill and Donna Eaton in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was the third of five children and the only girl in the family with four brothers. She attended school in Shelley and graduated in 1962.

She married Richard Allen Wilson on July 27, 1964 in Bonneville County. While Rich was serving in the U.S. Navy they lived in several different states including Idaho, Virginia, Connecticut, Hawaii, Washington, Colorado, and California. They had four children together, Blaine, Tawna, Kristin and Robin. They were later divorced at which time she moved back to Shelley to be closer to her parents. She worked for several years as a bank teller at US Bank in Shelley. She also worked at Melaleuca and at Walmart in Idaho Falls as a cashier.

Verlene enjoyed reading, watching movies, baking, sewing, crocheting and spending time with her family. She was a loving and devoted mother to her children. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She is survived by her son Blaine (Elissa) Wilson of Pocatello; daughters, Tawna Wilson of Rexburg; Kristin Wilson and Robin (Clint) Chadburn of Idaho Falls; four brothers, Tom (Gail) Dial, Keith Eaton, Dale Eaton all of Pocatello; and Larry (Gayle) Eaton of Donnelly; grandchildren, Amber, Karine, Travis, Lisa, Amy, Lane, Bailey, Ellie, Chase and Victoria, and one great-grandson Matix. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grand-daughter.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 W. Oak Street, in Shelley.  The family will receive friends Friday morning from 9:30 till 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.  Inurnment will follow in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
