Wendell Crow

December 19, 1931 — January 12, 2006

Wendell Crow, 74, of Shelley passed away January 12, 2006 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from complications of pneumonia and heart failure.

He was born December 19, 1931 in Idaho Falls to Benjamin and Esma Waters Crow. He grew up and attended schools in Ammon.

On September 25, 1954 he married Eda Marlene Whitmill in Shelley. They celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary this past year. His lifetime occupation was working as a heavy equipment operator for Idaho Canal District, Progressive Irrigation, and then later at New Sweden Irrigation before retiring. He enjoyed camping, fishing hunting, snowmobiling, and time spent with his grandkids. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene of Shelley, a daughter, Dahl (Kent) Buttars of Iona, two sons, Kay (Bernice-deceased & Chris) Crow of Cox’s Creek, Kentucky, and Rod (Virginia) Crow of Puyallup, Washington, Siblings; Arthur (Ann) Crow of Dry Creek, Louisiana, Merle Billman of Idaho Falls, Faye (Jay) Farnes of Idaho Falls, Maxine (Robert) Smith of Idaho Falls, & Levon (Wilma) Crow of Idaho Falls, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Kevin, a daughter-in-law, two brothers and three sisters.

Graveside Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday January 17th at the Iona Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 to 1:30 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to your local Veterans American Legion.
