William Scott Wadsworth

July 24, 1920 — August 27, 2010

William Scott Wadsworth, 90, passed away August 27, 2010 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

He was born July 24, 1920, at Shelley, Bingham County, Idaho, the son of  Charles W. Wadsworth and Elizabeth Rappley Wadsworth.

He joined the United States Navy at age 17, and served during World War II, ending his service as a chief machinist on November 13, 1945. 

He married Betty in 1964, and they were living in Reno, Nevada at the time of Betty’s death in 1994.

He worked as a machinist through his working life.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He was concerned regarding veterans affairs and attended veterans’ memorials so long as he was able.

In 2004 he moved back to Eastern Idaho where he had many relatives among the Wadsworths and the Jolleys and he made great friends among the residences of Fairwinds.  His positive outlook brightening the circumstance where ever he went.

Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Fairwinds Retirement Community, 3310 Valencia Drive.  Interment will be at the family plot in Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home in Shelley.
