Barbara Ann Raymond

Barbara Ann Raymond, 89, of Shelley, Idaho, was taken to her Heavenly Father on December 6th, 2023. She was born on April 19, 1934 to Quentin and Grace Martin in Mount Vernon, Washington. She grew up in the Spokane, Washington area where she excelled in horsemanship. She graduated from Eastern Idaho Vocational-Technical School as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Raymond, her sister, Crystal June (Patrick) Taylor, her children, Pam (John) Craig, Dean (Kathy) Farrow, Frank (Deana) Ward, Rebecca (Lewis Scott) Scheuering , and her stepchildren, Wayne (Tammy) Raymond Jr, Leonard Raymond, Kay (Llewellyn) Stacey, Sue (Ben) Huff, and Patty (Bob) Eck. 

Barbara is also survived by her grandchildren, Heidi Craig Spackman, Ben (Casey) Craig, Kendra Ward, Jessica (Jonabeth Tellez Sanchez) South-Tellez, Sean South, Tomas South, Chris South, Jeremy South, Rachel South, Jason Farrow, and Bobby Farrow, her great-grandchildren, Rylan Spackman, Julia Spackman, Katelyn Tellez South, Nicolas Tellez South, Cash Craig, Gabriel Craig, Austin Farrow, McKayla Farrow, and Alissa Farrow, and many more step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Kim Roy Walters and Ren Paul Bowman, her son, Terry Farrow, her stepson, Art Raymond, and her grandson, Quentin South.

Barbara was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission at the Idaho Falls Family History Library. Genealogy was a passion of hers and she continued her genealogy work long after her mission calling ended. She loved music and singing at church, including singing with the choir and singing solos. While Barbara was working as an LPN at the Valley Living Care Center she would often take her guitar into the center to play and sing songs to the residents, often accompanied by her daughter Rebecca (Ward) Scheuering.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at the Shelley First Ward Building (184 North Park Ave). The family will receive friends Monday December 11^th  from 6:00 till 7:30 P.M at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak Street) in Shelley and Tuesday morning from10:00 till 10:40 A.M. at the church.
