Brent Lynn Christensen

Brent Lynn Christensen, 83, of Chubbuck, Idaho, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on June 24, 2026, at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho surrounded by family.

Brent Lynn Christensen was born on March 27, 1943, in Shelley, Idaho to Walter and Melva Christensen. He grew up in Shelley. He and his family worked as crop and livestock farmers. Brent then went to work for the phone company for 42 years until he retired. He married Sharon Lee Gregg of Salt Lake City, UT in November 1968 and they later divorced in 1992.

He enjoyed coin collecting and model train collecting. He was known for creating model train villages and towns and running his trains at the Pocatello Railroad Club, where he was involved for more than 15 years and held several leadership roles. He also enjoyed gardening and fishing.

He is survived by: Eric (Son) & Taralee Christensen, (Bancroft, ID), Becky (Daughter) & Ty Angell (Lawrenceville, GA), Darby Christensen (Son) & Mia Christensen Arvas (Pocatello, ID). Kevin Christensen (Brother), Linea Russell (Sister)

Twelve Grandchildren - Trevor, Aubrianne, Kambrie, Lexie, Caleb of Eric & Taralee, Alec, Brenden, Marissa, Camron of Becky & Ty Angell, Leo, Corban, Bryn of Darby Christensen & Mia Christensen Arvas.

Ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother Walt & Melva Christensen, Ronald Christensen (Brother), Ladean Bickley (Sister), Neal Christensen (Brother), Mark Christensen (Brother), Sharon Lee Gregg (former wife)

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at the Pine Ridge Ward Building 4010 Hawthorne Road in Pocatello. The family will receive Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. till 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home in Shelley.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pocatello Railroad Club.
