Bruce Ryan Likes, 56, of Firth, passed away June 25, 2026 from complications related to cancer.

Bruce was born November 3, 1969 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Delbert and Evelyn Montague Likes. Some of his very early years were spent in Northern Idaho, where his father worked on building the dam.

At age two, he suffered from spinal meningitis, which caused some health issues throughout his life. When he was three, his family moved to Firth, Idaho where he attended schools in the Firth School District.

After school, he joined the Army for four years and achieved the rank of Corporal. During that time he was involved in a helicopter accident, which no one was hurt, in Panama when they took down Manuel Noriega in 1989.

After his time in the Army, he started driving truck, doing long haul trucking which he did until just a week before his death.

He had a brief marriage that produced a son, Keegan, in 1995, who died at age 2 months of SIDS.

He loved music and had a huge CD collection. He was also very passionate about NASCAR Racing and the Dallas Cowboys.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, older brother, Jeff, and son, Keegan.

He is survived by his brothers, Rick (Melanie) and Mark (Sharon) both of the Firth area.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday July 3, 2026 at the Riverview Cemetery, 811 N 550 E, in Firth. All friends and family are welcome to attend. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home.
