Carol Eloise Spencer

Carol Eloise Spencer, 84, passed away on December 7, 2025.

She was born December 16, 1940 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to George Anthony and Hazel Eloise Park Butler.

Carol met the love of her life, DeLynn, in Idaho Falls the summer of 1961 and they were married November 10, 1961. That marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS temple on May 29, 1965. To this union were born four children: Charlene, Larry, RoseAnne and Greg. The family spent many happy hours snowmobiling, hunting and camping in the hills around Idaho and Utah together.

She worked for many years as a nurse. She enjoyed gardening especially growing roses.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Carol is survived by her children, Charlene Spencer, Larry Spencer, RoseAnne Spencer and Greg Spencer, four grandchildren, Jason Spencer, Jeremy Mitchell, Chantel Mitchell and Amery Spencer, and two great-grandchildren, Zoe and Lilyth, as well as her siblings, Reada Stevens, Frank Butler, Radene Cox, Ella Brewington, Roger Butler, Ron Butler, and Debra Passino.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Delynn, daughter in law, Tawnya, brother, Sam Butler, and sister, Josephine Jensen.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2025 at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 W Oak Street in Shelley. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 till 7:30 p.m. and Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. till 10:45 a.m. both at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
