Carol Dawn Williams passed away peacefully October 19, 2025 in Shelley, Idaho. She was under the care of Symbii Hospice.
Born Carol Dawn Warren to Virgil and Lorna Warren on April 19, 1936 in Declo, Idaho, she was the 4th of 7 children. Carol attended school in Idaho until the family moved to Winters, CA where she attended high school and gained the nickname “Kissy Warren” due to her fun and flirty nature. Carol met Kenneth Archie Williams while on a blind date with someone else. They had one dance together and from then on there was no other dance partner for either of them. They were married on August 1,1954. In their early marriage they ran a dairy farm together in Merced, CA. Their daughter Penny arrived in 1955, then a son Kenny in 1957, followed by Timmy in 1960.
The family then moved out to the Morgan Ranch in Winters, CA where they spent many happy years living and working with their family.
In December of 1976 they packed up and moved to Basalt, ID where they owned and operated the Cedarpoint Country Store. Their home in Basalt will always hold a special place in our hearts. It was a home full of love and happy memories.
Carol was always a hard worker. From picking and packing fruit at the Morgan Ranch to several food processing plants in California to 40+ years of shift work at Idaho Supreme, where she retired at age 75.
Carol always loved a party, and she loved to have her family around her. Almost every weekend the house would be full of food, music, and the people she loved. She loved country music and loved to hear her family sing. They could never refuse a song request from Grandma.
Carol was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed many callings in the church and cherished the many friends she made during that time. Carol spent her final years in Shelley, Idaho with Penny, where she was blessed to spend time with her great-great grandchildren.
Carol is survived by daughter, Penny (Rick) Keller, son, Kenny (Diane) Williams and many grandchildren who will miss her more than words can say.
She was welcomed into heaven by her husband, Kenneth “Bud” Williams, son, Timmy Williams, grandson, Tyler Keller, and siblings, Jeannine Clark, Doug Warren, and Larry Warren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Shelley Senior Center on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 1pm with an open house to follow until 3pm.
