Chantel "Chani" Tew

Our beautiful daughter, Chantel Helen Tew (Chani), passed in her sleep May 10, 2024, hurrying  into her daddy’s arms. He lovingly called her Buffy (beautiful goofy). We know she is now reunited with Tiff’ni and her dad. What a celestial reunion! 

She was born August 19, 1980 at home in Firth, Idaho to Kent and Darlene Tew. Chani is the sixth child of eleven. She had a great desire to help people and was always concerned about how to help make others happy. Chani complimented everyone when she was out and about in town. Her personality, humor, and light created sunshine around her.

She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Chani kept close tabs on her family members and loved ones. She especially loved to spoil her 42 nieces and nephews and every child in her Primary class. What a beautiful young lady she is!

Hundreds of Chantel’s massage therapy clients have declared that she was the best massage therapist, bar none. She was a true healer. The last few years she enjoyed sharing secretly with others. That was most rewarding to her. Her greatest joy was seeing to others’ needs. Despite her health issues, she stayed optimistic. The ever-present plumeria in her hair and a smile on her face brought joy to everyone she met!

She is survived by her mother Darlene, her siblings Terence Neil, Clinton, Crystal, Candice Brooke, Thommas, Celeste, Taralyn, Trenten, and Charity, plus 42 nieces and nephews and her best friend and love of her life, Wayne C. Ball. She was preceded in death by her sister, Tiff'ni and her father, Kent.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the Fielding Memorial Cemetery, 4600 South Yellowstone Hwy in Idaho Falls.
