Cheryl Christine Kennedy

Cheryl Christine (Carlson) Kennedy, born June 21, 1944, passed away on May 9, 2026.

She lived a life that was never ordinary, never predictable, and always—without exception—an adventure on her terms. Cheryl approached the world with grit, humor, and a fearless spirit that made her unforgettable to everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her three children, Shawn Hernandez, Charlotte (Jim) Wasia, and Travis (Pauline) Green. Cheryl had 11 grandchildren and 10 great‑grandchildren.

Cheryl’s life was defined by her boldness and her refusal to live by anyone else’s script. She embraced spontaneity, chased adventure, and met every challenge head‑on. Her family will forever remember her as a woman who lived life fully, fiercely and never hesitated to take the reins of her own story.

Cheryl will be remembered for her spirit, and the unmistakable fire that made her one of a kind.

There will be no funeral services. A remembrance of Cheryl will be planned at a later date.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all of Cheryl’s medical staff, whose compassion and dedication brought comfort and dignity to her final days.
