Don Lee Wilkinson

August 16, 1941 — January 27, 2024

Don Lee Wilkinson, 82, of Shelley, passed away on January 27, 2024.

He was born on August 16, 1941 in Idaho Falls to John Albert and Jeanette Elmina Twichell Wilkinson. He attended schools in Firth where he graduated from Firth High School.

He married DeAnna Struhs on September 21, 1968. She passed away on August 7, 1994. He later married Janet Ruby Bronson.

Don worked as a mechanic at the R.T. French Company, Pillsbury, and Basic American Foods. He retired after working 47 years.

He liked to hunt, fish, and camp. He farmed and ranched raising cows, horses, chickens, and turkeys. He served in the scouting program for many years.

He is survived by his wife of Shelley; one son, Ryan (Twyla) Wilkinson of Salmon; grandson, George Williams of Salmon; three brothers, Dyke Wilkinson of Idaho Falls; Paul (Lorna) Wilkinson of Shelley; and Gary (Rosella) Wilkinson of Shelley; and his mother-in-law, Donna Struhs of Idaho Falls.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Wilkinson.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 1, 2024 at the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday morning from 10:00 till 10:45 A.M. at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 W Oak Street, Shelley.
