Doris Margaret Bohman

Doris Margaret Nielson Bohman, 90, of Shelley, Idaho, passed away June 24, 2022, at Homestead Assisted Living in Rexburg.

Doris was born March 7, 1932, in Richfield, Utah, to Rulon Elias Nielson and Irene Zoe Ence Nielson. She grew up and attended schools in Richfield and graduated from Richfield High School. As a cheerleader, she met the love of her life, Gene Bohman.

On December 25, 1950, she married Ronald Gene Bohman in Yuma, Arizona. Doris and Gene made their home in Shelley, Idaho, where she was a homemaker and mother of eight sons. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple July 31, 1987.

Doris was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed her family most of all but also enjoyed sewing, cooking, and visiting with people.

Doris is survived by her loving sons, Stanley Gene (Cathy) Bohman of Twin Falls, ID, Terre Mike (Lynne) Bohman of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Douglas Hal (Brenda) Bohman of Menan, ID, Dane Eric (Tracy) Bohman of Salem, ID, Karl Reed Bohman of Tigard, OR, Steven Kurt Bohman of Jackson SC, Jon Marc (Rebecca) Bohman of Idaho Falls, ID; siblings, Rulon E “Jay” (Mary Ann) Nielson and Kathryn McNeill, both of Utah; and 29 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene Bohman, son Ronald Craig Bohman, and a sister Mavis Irene Nielson Ewell.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2022 at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak Street) in Shelley. The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 till 4:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be Saturday July 2, at 3:00 p.m.in the Monroe City Cemetery in Utah.
