In 1959, they moved to their home in Presto Valley on the banks of the Blackfoot River, where she has resided since. Everett passed away in 1994 and she has missed him ever since.

Dorothy worked at Basic American Foods in Blackfoot for 30 years as a lead lady. Her work led to many special friendships. She retired in 1989.

She enjoyed history, her family, fishing trips on the coast of Oregon, and especially horses. She always looked forward to visits from friends and family, particularly her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also looked forward to the Just Reunion every year.
