Douglas Allen Long of Firth Idaho, born on April 28, 1962 to Bill and Marie Long of Shelley Idaho passed away unexpectedly on Thursday November 9th, 2023.
Growing up in the small town of Shelley , Idaho, Doug enjoyed the usual rural town activities including sports, outdoors, moving pipe and the typical mischief. Doug will forever be remembered for his incredibly kind heart - he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need and treated everyone like family. He was a patient teacher and loved sharing his passions, whether hunting, fishing, rock-hounding, or any of his many other hobbies. Doug also found great pleasure in taking his 2 dogs, Shadow and Bella, to the river to play while he and his partner Cori fished. He is leaving a lasting legacy of love and compassion that will be sorely missed.
