Jeffrey Roder

September 15, 1952 — April 13, 2024

Jeffrey Roder, 71, of Shelley passed away April 14th at his home from natural causes.

Jeffrey was  born September 15, 1952 at Syracuse Memorial Hospital in Syracuse, New York to Donald Edward Roder and Joan Marion Carruthers Roder. He loved both his mother and his father deeply, and they meant the world to him. He often spoke of how much he missed them.

Jeff was a very well-educated man. He graduated High School from Farmington High School in Farmington, Michigan June 18, 1971. He later would go on to achieve multiple college degrees, including an Associates in History from Onondaga Community College, and a Bachelor's as well as a Master's in History from State University of New York College At Oswego. He loved Native American and Old Western United States history, and had a passion for collecting historical firearms.

Jeffrey was a true American who believed in the constitution and loved his freedom, and he had a great love of the state of Idaho. He was a very social and kind man to be near, and he was very grateful to spend the latter years of his life living in the lovely town of Shelley. He especially loved the North Bingham County Library, and their kind and helpful staff there.
