JoAnn Eversole

March 25, 1948 — April 23, 2024

Billie JoAnn “Ginger” Eversole, 75, of Pocatello, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Ginger was born March 25, 1948 in Pocatello, Idaho to William Keaton and Lillian Hiatt Keaton. She is the 4th born child of 6, having 2 older half-sisters (Leah Joyee and Deanna) and one half-brother (Gary). She spent her childhood growing up with Joyee, her older sister (Lillie Elaine) and younger brother (William Jay) in Pocatello, Idaho. She also spent some years of her youth in Eden, Idaho.

Ginger was the proud mother of 4 busy boys who drove her crazy and kept her on her toes 24/7. They provided her with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she loved dearly: Don Rhondeau, (Tammy Rowbury), (8 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren), Ron Rhondeau (deceased) (1 grandchild), Shawn Petersen, and Shane (Rose) Naasz, (5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren).

Ginger was a fabulous cook, artist, craft lady, loved being around family and friends, and she was an animal lover. You never saw her without her beloved dogs. Her sons reminisce about the hard work she put into raising them, cooking fabulous meals, fighting for them, always making sure they were provided for emotionally and financially. She loved fishing and camping, and some of her sons’ fondest memories are from the trips they would take. She assured them they were safe from bears, and she was tough enough to take them on if they had ever did approached! She lived in Evanston, Wyoming for many years where the family could enjoy all the nature and fun. She loved to go rock hounding, then would make beautiful art pieces of animals on some of the rocks.

Later in her life, Ginger returned to Pocatello. Her and her best friend, Karen, ruled their care facility. While living there, Ginger continued creating fabulous art, crafts, and paintings. She had a blast going shopping and loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Ron. A celebration of life will be planned for her family sometime in the summer of 2024. Ginger lived life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by those of us fortunate enough to love her will always remember her beauty, her fiery personality, her extraordinary talent, and her love for her kids.
