Jodi Liane Murdock

Jodi Liane Murdock, of Idaho Falls, had a celebratory reunion with family and friends, passing away on November 4, 2025.

Jodi was born January 29, 1969 to Sandy Wuthrich and Tom Schmidt in Utah. She grew up in Shelley Idaho, where she attended Shelley High School.

Jodi proceeded to marry Jerry Hampton and have two kids: Derek and Kelsie Hampton. They later divorced, and she went on to marry Darwin Murdock and have three more children: Dakota Murdock, Kree Patterson (Murdock), and Jaden Murdock.

Jodi became a homemaker, which she was extraordinary at. Jodi and Darwin lived in multiple different places, but she was always able to make each location feel like home. Jodi and Darwin eventually divorced, but remained close and cared for the kids as if they were still one. Jodi was someone who made sure to reach out to everyone, to ensure they were doing good, and to listen to their day to day lives. She devoted her life and time to all 11 of her grandchildren, ensuring they all knew they had a grandmother who loved them beyond compare. Jodi lit up a room with her boisterous, one of a kind personality, that would draw anyone and everyone to becoming her friend.

She loved camping with her children, and giving every ounce of her to those who needed it the most.

She is survived by her children; Derek Hampton of Oklahoma, Kelsie Hampton of Washington, Dakota Murdock (Layton Murdock) of Blackfoot, ID, Kree Patterson (Patrick Patterson) of Idaho Falls, ID, Jaden Murdock (Jestina Kirkpatrick) of Blackfoot, ID, and grandchildren, Jordan Armstrong, Addison Armstrong, Skylin Armstrong, Jade Hampton, Oakley Murdock, Bodee Murdock, Legend Patterson, Kane Patterson, Bentley Patterson, Jesse Murdock, and Journey Murdock.

She is proceeded to death by her mother Sandy Wuthrich, adopted parents Robert and Arva Wuthrich.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2025 at the Taylor Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family Monday from 9:30 a.m. till 10:45 a.m. at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 West Oak Street in Shelley.
