In Loving Memory of Kay Lorenzo Kremin

It is with great sadness that we announce that Kay Lorenzo Kremin, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home on November 30, 2025, at the age of 89. Kay was born on July 2, 1936, in his grandmother’s cabin in St. Anthony, ID to Edwin Leslie Kremin Sr. and Elizabeth Verenice Larson.

Kay attended school in St. Anthony and Twin Falls and in 1956 Joined the U.S. Air Force serving in Portland Oregon and received an Honorable Discharge when his unit was disbanded in 1958.

Kay married Beverly Melton of Twin Falls and were later divorced. They had 1 son Jarius in 1954.

On September 17, 1958, Kay married his beloved wife, Deanna High in St. Anthony. The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together, they shared 67 years of marriage, raising eight children and embracing a growing family that now includes 26 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

Kay will be remembered for his strong work ethic; in his spare time, he would fish with his longtime friend Welby Huffaker and loved to fix old sewing machines.

Kay is survived by his wife Deanna, his children, Alan (Tracy) Kremin, Dawna Kremin, Michael (Tammy) Kremin, Elizabeth (Michael) Lathrop, Rodney (Deby) Kremin, Diane (Kregg) Mickelsen, Jennifer (Jeremy) Sessions, 24 Grandchildren, and 32 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, both brother, Edwin Leslie Jr. and Gene Brent, 2 sons, Jarius Kay and Kenneth Alfred, and 2 Grandchildren, Eric Adams and Justin Lathrop.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Kay’s life will be held on Thursday, December 4th, at 11:00 AM. Services will take place at the Firth Stake Center, located at 823 N 675 E, Basalt, Idaho. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Kay are invited to attend and share in remembrance.

Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30am - 10:45am. Burial will be in the Basalt Cemetery with military rites.

Kay Lorenzo Kremin’s legacy lives on in the hearts of his loved ones. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
